Privacy Policy

WristGlint is developed by John Lazarus. The app works between your iPhone and Apple Watch without a developer-managed account.

Information used by the app

WristGlint reads the iPhone’s battery percentage and charging state. It records when a reading was taken and uses delivery information to distinguish current, older and unavailable readings.

The app also stores preferences and a Watch display label, if one is provided, to identify your paired Watch in the iPhone companion. This label is not used for advertising, tracking, fingerprinting or account identification.

Where information goes

Battery readings, timestamps and delivery identifiers are exchanged between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch through Apple’s WatchConnectivity service. A Watch label you enter in the iPhone companion stays on the iPhone and is not included in those battery messages. The app keeps the latest battery snapshot and local settings on your devices. The Watch app and its complication share local storage so they can display the same reading.

WristGlint does not operate a backend for this information, upload it to an analytics service, or maintain a battery-history account. The app does not provide its own iCloud sync service. Apple’s device backups and system services may handle app data according to your settings and Apple’s privacy practices.

How information is shared

Battery information and Watch labels are not sold, rented or shared with advertisers, data brokers or other third-party service providers by the developer.

Retention and deletion

The latest snapshot is replaced as new readings arrive. Preferences and labels remain locally until changed or the app’s data is removed. Remove WristGlint from both devices to remove its local app data; deleting a complication alone does not remove the app. Backups may retain copies separately. See Data deletion for details.

If you contact support

Emailing support shares your email address, message and any attachments with the developer and the email provider used to handle the conversation. This information is used to respond to your request, not for marketing or tracking. Send only what is necessary, and contact us if you would like the correspondence deleted, subject to any legally required retention.

Security and your choices

The app uses Apple’s app storage and paired-device communication facilities. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. You can stop using the app, remove its data, or contact the developer about information you have sent directly.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated when the app’s data practices change. The effective date identifies the current version. For privacy questions or requests, email ronnie.lazarus.dev@gmail.com.
